Östlund's film is coproduced within the Sarajevo City of Film for Global Screen (SCF GS) project by Obala Art Centar and Turkish Radio and Television (TRT).
Sarajevo UNESCO City of Film and the City of Sarajevo on the occasion of the City Day, 6th of April, present to the audience free of charge “Sarajevo City of Film” – A month of short films made in Sarajevo, on the online platform of the Meeting Point cinema: Ondemand.kinomeetingpoint.ba.
Following last year’s successful run on the international festival circuit of Martin Turk’s A GOOD DAYS WORK, Sarajevo Film Festival and Turkish National Radio Television (TRT) have partnered again to produce two more micro-budget features in the framework of the Sarajevo City of Film for Global Screen (SCF GS) project.
A GOOD DAY’S WORK, produced by the Sarajevo-based Obala Art Center, will head to France shortly after screening in the main competition program of the Busan Film Festival in South Korea. The film will be screened on October 21st and 24th, in the competition programme of the 40th CINEMED - Montpellier Festival of Mediterranean Cinema, running October 19-27.
Marin Turk’s film GOOD DAY’S WORK, produced by Obala Art Center, has been selected for the official competition program of the 23rd Busan Film Festival in South Korea, running October 4-13.
Principal photography has officially wrapped on four short films by young filmmakers from the Balkan region which were backed by the Sarajevo City of Film initiative and produced by Obala Art Center. The four films will premiere at the 24th Sarajevo Film Festival to be held from August 10-17.
Today a new call for entries for Sarajevo City of Film was announced. The project gives young filmmakers from the region an opportunity to collaborate around short film projects - and to have them funded, produced and screened.
At last year's Sarajevo Film Festival, the feature film production scheme Sarajevo City of Film for Global Screen (SCF GS) was launched by the festival and TRT TV Movies. During the 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival the film selected to be produced within SCF GS was announced - A Good Day's Work, by Slovenian director Martin Turk.
Izeta Gradevic, festival’s Creative Director, will preside the Funds Selection Board and Jovan Marjanovic, festival’s Head of Industry, will serve as the Executive Director of revamped Sarajevo City of Film Fund.
