Exploring synergies: Managing Intellectual Property Across Creative Industries
Participants from the following countries are eligible to apply: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. The deadline for submission is February 22, 2024.
Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLink Industry Days, in partnership with the Regional Academy for Film and Television, is organizing a three-day forum on the management of intellectual property rights across creative industries. The focus will be on the synergy between the audiovisual and publishing industries. The forum is scheduled to take place in Mokrin, Serbia, from April 5 to 8, 2024.
Over the years, there have been several successful examples of transmedia utilization of intellectual property in the region. Transforming intellectual property created in one creative industry (music, publishing, etc.) into a successful audiovisual output remains untapped potential.
Envisioned as an assessment of the current state of the industry and an open discussion among established and emerging film professionals and creatives shaping the regional audiovisual landscape, the forum will offer a series of panels, case studies, networking opportunities, and a think tank.
Drawing on insights gained from our deep commitment to regional players, we have recognized the need among film professionals to enhance their knowledge of the protection and utilization of intellectual property rights. Through the think tank and educational segment of the forum, we will provide participants with examples of best practices from the region and Europe.
Moreover, the forum will give participants the chance to expand their network and meet representatives from the publishing industry, exchanging knowledge and information to unlock potential synergies between the two industries and tap into the world of contemporary regional authors. Over three days, renowned film professionals will discuss the potential of creating branded regional content that would become globally recognizable.
We invite submissions from creators, producers, directors, and scriptwriters, with experience in producing or being key creatives on a feature film or drama series, who are keen to explore the landscape and be part of this engaging group of professionals.
