Jury of the Competition Programme – Student Film of the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival

The Jury of the Competition Programme – Student Film at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival will consist of director Anna Gymesi, film curator Delphine Jeanneret, and director Ivan Ramljak.

The Jury will have the honour of awarding the Heart of Sarajevo Awards in the Competition Programme – Student Film. The winners will be announced on Friday, August 23 at the Awards Ceremony. 

Anna Gyimesi
Director, Hungary
Anna Gyimesi is a Hungarian film director dedicated to exploring themes of motherhood and womanhood. Her short fiction film Affricate received the Cinelink Award at Talents Sarajevo Pack & Pitch 2020 and premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2022. Her short documentary Falling won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Student Film in 2023 and the Best Documentary Prize from Hungarian Film Critics in 2024.
An alumna of Docnomads, European Short Pitch, and Pop-Up Film Residency, Anna’s films have been screened at festivals such as Tallinn Black Nights IFF and Jihlava IFF. She is pursuing doctoral studies at MOME Budapest, exploring the boundaries between fiction and documentary. Recently, she has been developing her debut feature Soft Hours, which was refined at Midpoint Feature Launch and is currently at Cinelink.

Delphine Jeanneret
Film curator and lecturer, Film Department of the Geneva University of Art and Design, Switzerland

Delphine Jeanneret is an independent film curator and lecturer at the Film Department of Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD). She is part of the artistic committee at Locarno Film Festival (Open Doors) and Int. Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, she founded the Festival Cinéma Jeune Public in Lausanne, and is the chair of the association Ciné-Doc, promoting documentary forms in Switzerland. With over 15 years of experience programming films for festivals, art spaces, and film institutions, Delphine is dedicated to programs that spotlight young filmmakers with innovative aesthetics. She has participated in numerous juries, labs, and round tables at international festivals and institutions. Delphine is also a member of the Swiss Film Academy.

Ivan Ramljak
Director, independent curator and a short film selector for the Rotterdam Film Festival, Croatia

Ivan Ramljak is a film director and independent curator. In 2003, he founded the Human Rights Film Festival in Zagreb. From 2013 to 2022, he curated and hosted Kratki utorak, a short film program at the Tuškanac cinema in Zagreb, and from 2016 to 2023, he served as the artistic director of the Tabor Film Festival. Since 2022, he has been a short film selector for the Rotterdam Film Festival and a scout for feature films from the former Yugoslavia.
Ivan has directed nine short films, one medium-length film, and two feature films, primarily documentaries. His films Islands of Forgotten Cinemas, Home of the Resistance, Mezostajun, Once Upon a Youth, and El Shatt - A Blueprint for Utopia have been screened at over 80 festivals worldwide (including IFFR, Cinéma du Réel, Dok Leipzig, Sarajevo, Dokufest) and have won numerous awards.

The 30th Sarajevo Film Festival will take place from 16 to 23 August 2024.
