Special Screening of FRANKIE

A special screening of film FRANKIE, which stars Isabelle Huppert, this year’s recepient of Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award, will be held on August 17, at 11:00 in Cinema City. FRANKIE, directed by American director Ira Sachs, premiered at Cannes earlier this year.

The film unfolds over the course of late summer’s day in the fabled resort town of Sintra, Portugal. Frankie is a famous French actress who learns that she only has a few months to live, so she gathers three family generations for a vocation. In this fairy setting, husbands and wives, parents and children, friends and lovers – stirred by their romantic impulses – discover the cracks between them, as well as unexpected depth of feeling.
