Jury of the Competition Programme – Short Film of the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival

The Jury of the Competition Programme – Short Film at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival will consist of producer Anamria Antoci, director Flora Anna Buda, and director and producer Burak Çevik.

The Jury will have the honour of awarding the Heart of Sarajevo Awards in the Competition Programme – Short Film. The winners will be announced on Friday, August 23 at the Awards Ceremony.

Anamaria Antoci
Producer, Romania

Anamaria Antoci is an accomplished active producer in the European market and a member of prominent industry networks such as EAVE, ACE Producers, European Producers Club and Inside Pictures. Anamaria founded in 2017 the Bucharest based company Tangaj Production, being fully committed to all creative stages, with a passion for authentic, strong arthouse films, keen on pursuing ways to tackle audiences in a unique manner.
Anamaria achievements include producing feature and documentary films, such as Cristi Puiu’s Malmkrog (2020, serving as delegate producer) or Men Of Deeds by Paul Negoescu (2022). She has co-produced films like Working Class Goes To Hell by Mladen Djordjevic (2023), the debut feature Panopticon by George Sikharulidze (2024) and the latest film by Danis Tanović, My Late Summer (2024).

Flora Anna Buda
Director, Hungary

Born and raised in an artistic environment on the outskirts of Budapest, Flora Anna Buda pursued studies in fashion before her love for drawing and interest in storytelling led her to animation. Her graduation film from MOME, titled Entopia, premiered at the 69th Berlinale and won the 33rd Teddy Award.
She began her career as an intern at MIYU Productions, where she later created her first professional film, 27, in co-production with Boddah. The film premiered at the 76th Festival de Cannes, winning the Palme d’Or for short films, and subsequently received the Crystal du Court Métrage at the Annecy Festival and the Heart of Sarajevo, among many other prestigious awards and selections.
One of her main goals is to continue exploring new ways of creating diverse universes, telling honest stories, and transforming her recent interests into artistic projects with an open mind.

Burak Çevik
Director and producer, Türkiye

Director and producer Burak Çevik is the founder of Fol Cinema Society and has curated experimental and arthouse film screenings. Between 2018 and 2020, he was a lecturer on non-fiction at Istanbul Bilgi University. His films The Pillar of Salt (2018), Belonging (2019) and Forms of Forgetting (2023) premiered at the Berlinale Forum.
His latest film, Nothing in Its Place (2024), was commissioned by the Jeonju Cinema Project and was selected to compete at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. His video works have been screened at various festivals, including Locarno Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, FID Marseille, and New York Film Festival.

The 30th Sarajevo Film Festival will take place from 16 to 23 August 2024.
