The sexual awakening of Georgian cinematography

What is love? What is happiness? What is independence? These are the questions that Georgian director Elena Naveriani explores in the film "Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry", the story of Etero, a woman living in a small village in Georgia who has never wanted a husband. The film won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Feature Film at the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival.

With the regional premiere of the film BLACKBIRD BLACKBIRD BLACKBERRY by the director Elene Naveriani, tonight was screened in the Sarajevo National Theatre, in the Competition Programme – Feature Film. The film had its world premiere at the Directors’ Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Competition Programme – Feature Film of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival was continued tonight at 19:00 with the international premiere of the Romanian film FREEDOM by Tudor Giurgiu in the Sarajevo National Theatre. Film had its world premiere on Transilvania International Film Festival, where it won Public's Choice Award.

The Competition Programme – Feature Film of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival was continued tonight at 19:00 at the Sarajevo National Theater with the regional premiere of the film LA PALISIADA by Ukrainian director Philip Sotnychenko. The film's world premiere was held at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.

Regional premiere of LOST COUNTRY

As part of the Competition Programme - Feature Film of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival, the regional premiere of the film LOST COUNTRY by director Vladimir Perišić was shown tonight at 19:00 at the National Theater in Sarajevo. The film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, as part of the La Semaine de la Critique section.

Elma Tataragić, programmer of the Competition Programme – Feature Film will present 11 titles. The selection in the competition programme features two world premieres, one international and five regional premieres. The programme includes two gala and one special screening.
