“Circles” and “Harmony Lessons” Awarded at the Berlinale

“Circles”, by Serbian director Srdan Golubović, was awarded the Ecumenical Jury prize in the Forum category at the 63rd Berlinale International Film Festival.

This is of special importance for the Sarajevo Film Festival, since the awarded film was co-produced by CineLink in 2010, when it was awarded the Excellence award.

The film CIRCLES, is Serbian-German-French-Croatian-Slovenian co-production.

The script was written by Srđan Koljević and Melina Pota Koljević. The film stars: Aleksandar Berček, Leon Lučev, Nebojša Glogovac, Hristina Popović, Nikola Rakočević, Vuk Kostić…

HARMONY LESSONS by Emir Baigazin was also awarded at the independent juries awards ceremony. The director received the Berliner Morgenpost award, which was decided by a jury made up of twelve readers of this newspaper. 

Baigazin’s debut film was part of last year’s Work in Progress selection and was awarded the Post Republic award worth 80,000 Euros.  

The film was a Kazakh-German-French co-production, and it stars Timur Aidarbekov, Aslan Anarbayev, Mukhtar Andassov, Anelya Anadassov, Beibitzhan Muslimov.
