THE RAILWAY MAN Screened in the Open Air Programme

THE RAILWAY MAN, by Jonathan Teplitzky, screened at KSC Skenderija, as part of the Open Air programme, on the eighth day of the Festival (21 August).

THE RAILWAY MAN is an inspiring true story of heroism, humanity and the redeeming power of love. Based on a remarkable autobiography, the film tells the extraordinary true story of Eric Lomax, a British Army officer who survived as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labour camp during World War II. His experiences left him permanently traumatized and shut off from the world.  Years later, when Eric meets Patti, a beautiful woman, everything changes.

Jonathan Teplitzky is a London-trained and internationally acclaimed director of commercials and music videos. He is renowned for his innovative style and visual flair. He has worked internationally with filmmakers such as Anand Tucker with whom he teamed on various projects, including the celebrated documentary on author Anne Rice, which won a BAFTA award for Best Documentary.

The screening will take place at 20:30.
