Robert De Niro in Sarajevo!

Preeminent Actor, director and producer Robert De Niro, two-time Academy Award® winner, five-time Academy Award® nominee and Golden Globe® winner arrived in Sarajevo! De Niro will receive the first Honorary Heart of Sarajevo - Lifetime Achievement Award for his extraordinary contribution to the art of film at Opening Night of the 22nd edition of Sarajevo Film Festival taking place from the 12th to the 20th of August.

The Festival will open with Martin Scorsese’s iconic and recently restored TAXI DRIVER, the movie celebrating its 40th anniversary, being shown simultaneously at the National Theatre and Open Air Cinema at 9.00 p.m.

After the opening ceremony, in front of a 3,000-strong audience at the Open Air Cinema, De Niro will be presented with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo, a Lifetime Achievement Award, for the first time presented in this festival.
