BH Film Program: 77 Films, 44 World Premieres

Associaton of Filmmakers of B&H in collaboration with Sarajevo Film Festival will organize 11th edition of BH Film Program, which will set a new record with amazing 77 films!

This program will take place between 13th to 20th August as a part of Sarajevo Film Festival.

Just 13 years ago this program presented 3 feature films and 3 short films, giving the audience the annual review of that year's BiH film production. In just 13 years, Bosnian and Herzegovinian film production has expanded more than 12 times as this year the Associaton of Filmmakers will present 74 Bosnian and Herzegovinian films, and 3 films which were made on BiH topics or/ and by BiH filmmakers.

This year's program will not only offer quantity, but also a high quality film program. The program will be opened with a special screening presenting Mediterraen Film Festival from Široki Brijeg, with the presentation of seven films of this festival's production.

Ten feature films will be presented in this year's program. Four of these ten are Bosnian and Herzegovinian feature films, one of them is recently awarded film DEATH IN SARAJEVO, by director Danis Tanović; while six films are coproductions, such as SIERANEVADA by Romanian director Cristi Puiu, and A GOOD WIFE by Serbian director Mirjana Karanović. For audience with the taste for documentary films, this program offers 29 documentary films; 22 of them short documentaries. Also, the program offers 16 short fiction and two animated films. We are happy to remind you that BiH film program is going to present Student Competition selection consisted of 13 films made by BiH film academies students.

Not only that this year's program is going to have 44 world premieres, and more than 120 guests, it's our pleasure to announce that the first meeting of Bosnian-Herzegovinian film festivals will be held this year as well. Directors and representatives of all of the film festivals in our country will have the opportunity to talk about future plans and interfestival cooperation.

All of the screenings of BH Film Program will be held in Multiplex „Cinema City“.

Enjoy the 11th BH Film program!
